Canoe Club gets temporary dock

Pending the start of work on their current premises near the council yard, as part of his Town Square development, Pat Dunlea has built a temporary dock for the Kilcullen Canoe Club at Riverside Manor.

"We're going to have a bit of disruption during the summer, but the temporary dock will make things easier," says the canoe club's Sinead Fitzpatrick. "And we're going to be very well accommodated when the whole development is finished."

The Diary understands that the new premises for the club will be somewhere upriver of the present council yard, which is also being subsumed into the development.

We will provide some detail of the club's plans in the near future.
