TD queries noise reduction on motorway

The issue of noise from the M9 motorway near Kilcullen is being referred to the National Roads Authority, by transport minister Paschal Dempsey, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows the raising of the issue in the Dail by Deputy Martin Heydon, who asked if there are plans to erect noise reduction barriers on the motorway near towns like Kilcullen.

Such barriers were installed on the N7 during its up-grade, but none have erected on the M9.

The minister has asked the NRA to respond to Deputy Heydon's query.
