GAA Lipsync Challenge exceeds target

It’s nearly two weeks since the Kilcullen GAA Lipsync Challenge, writes Dara Clarke of Kilcullen GAA, a night that will be remembered by all who participated & attended as one of Kilcullen’s best nights ever.

The great news is that through the dedicated efforts of all involved, not only has the Lipsync target of €30,000 after costs been met, it has been exceeded.

The Lipsync committee convened for the final time during the week and we are delighted to inform everyone that the final figure of monies raised, after costs, is €43,000.

Yes, it is a fantastic, amazing result.

In addition, there’s no hanging around with the plans for this money. The Club is eager to start putting the funds to good use, starting with the initial redevelopment plans, which include upgrade of the facilities at the training pitch, new dugouts at the main pitch, and lighting for the car park. It is hoped that the work will be substantially completed before the start of the underage season next spring.

As we return to our daily lives that don't involve all things Lipsync, our sincere gratitude to everyone in Kilcullen who made this happen. We did it.
